We live in a rural area, we don't have any choice like city dwellers... And still, it's a 60 mile round trip to do the shopping.

Grocery shopping.

Mowed the lawn.

Plotted out my garden in my head. Still don't know the size of it though - guess that's the problem when you haven't closed on the house yet.

Made bread.

Made pizza dough & sauce for tonight's supper.

Cleaned & vacuum packed 20 lbs of beef fajita meat that I picked up from the local packing house.

Mixed up another load of dirt & sand to re-level the area where I had previously burned out a stump by the well house.

Marinating some short Korean ribs.
It's a beautiful Easter Sunday here in Cypress, Texas. Yard looking sub-par . Fixin' to clean up a bit.

Hair looking like Capt caveman. My usual hair cut guy is scared out of his wits and won't see me. He's fired !

One of my US Marines offered to cut my hair. I'm thinking about it REALLY hard. I asked him for reference with pictures.....no response yet.

It is quite windy here, both yesterday & today. I watered the garden as best I could...

Mixed up another load of dirt & sand to continue re-leveling the area but the well house.

Reloaded the salt bin & replaced the filter in the well house.

Treated the rusty tin roof of the well house with orthophosphoric acid & the cleaned the rest of it with 30-Second Cleaner in preparation for chalking/painting.

Watered the garden & asparagus bed.

Applied 2 coats of zinc paint to the tin roof of the well house. It's too chilly/windy to do anything else.

Believe it or not, I still have grapefruits on the trees here in South central TX. I cut one open today for the hell of it. They are outstanding. I’m picking what’s left on the trees tomorrow and making wine out of them. They are super sweet.

Seasoned up beef fajitas for tonight's supper.

Replanted caladiums in the pots on the back porch as they should have been up by now. I guess the freezing temps last winter did them in.

Put dye in the stock tanks to help keep the algae down.

Sprayed the fire ant mounds in the yard with Bifen.

Got started on the grapefruit wine last night. Ended up with 1.5 gallons juice from 24 grapefruits, not bad. We added in some white grape juice to help tame the grapefruit a bit. This will be a 5 gallon batch. This morning I’ll add in more sugar to bring the gravity where I want it, and tomorrow Amazon delivers the yeast.
