This weekend:
Finished another puzzle - 1000 pcs of Star Wars movie posters.
Made 2 more batches of cookies - one gone.
Worked on my sweater while sitting outside.

Working on garden starts and what can I do to jump start this season and what can I grow that gives food fast.

We got all the way up to 70 F. First time this season.

Continued to work from home.

Took my work boots in for new soles - now I'm 4 or 5 years and $300 total into these boots, the uppers look great and they'll have new treads $300 for 10+ years should be a good deal.

Got woke up about 0400 hrs due to the lightning, wind & rain (0.78" thus far).

Assist Mrs. Ranch in vacuum packing the enchiladas.

Ordered 168 Satin Nickel Bird Cage Cabinet Handles to keep Mrs. Ranch happy.

Woke up early this morning, the wind was blowing everything that wasn't bolted to the ground.

Bought some cat grass and cat nip seeds for my daughter to grow. She adopted a cat from the shelter last year, his name is " Butter".

I have been trying really hard to get "Butter" to play with his siblings...( 3 German Shepherds) with no luck . That cat is smarter than I thought. LOL!

Jasmin are smelling nice with this breeze, Fruits will be good this year.

It's a perfect day for spraying, mid-80s & there's absolutely no wind, so that's what's on my agenda.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Reviewed the investments, almost back to where we started the year at.

Did the weekly shopping, which was uneventful. I'm learning to avoid any business that fosters stupidity, LOL!!!

Painted the sprinkler assembly to keep the UV from deteriorating the PVC.

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Made stuffed jalapenos.

Put the cart before the horse last night...

Went online and ordered 5 semi-dwarf fruit trees from a local nursery. 2 apples, 1 sweet cherry, 1 peach, 1 pear. We don't close on the house until Tuesday...

1 Honeycrisp apple
1 Fireside apple
1 Lapins Cherry (self-fruitful sweet cherry)
1 Red Haven Peach (self fruitful)
1 Bartlett pear - this one will need a pollinator but the nursery didn't have any the pollination charts said were compatible

I was looking at typical online nurseries and fruit trees are just about sold out everywhere.

Made bread.

Refilled the hummingbird feeders as needed.

Seasoned up a big sirloin steak that I'll smoke for supper. Mrs. Ranch is making macoroni salad to go with it.

Harvested some lettuce for our salad.

Sprayed RoundUp on the roads/entry, around the barn & started on the north fence line.

Picked up my fruit trees I bought online last night. Never been to this nursery / garden center but am very impressed. Largest single center I've been to yet. Well laid out. Large edible area. I will be back.

Stopped by the local seed store and bought:
12 red bell peppers
4 roma tomatoes
4 Celebrity tomatoes
2 grape tomatoes
4 black beauty egg plant
The grape tomatoes are in a 3" pot each. The others are in the small 4 packs.
According to the sticker on the 4 packs these were grown in the same city I bought them in and live in (there are a few commercial green houses and wholesellers here).

Biked around town - only 6 miles.

Made meatballs and fresh spaghetti sauce.

Watered the garden, flower beds, asparagus, porch pots & all the trees as it is forecasted to be 93 degrees today.

Received the new cabinet handles & replaced the ones in the main house's kitchen/bathrooms. I'll do Mrs. Ranch's sewing room & the guest house tomorrow.

Topped out around 55 F and mostly cloudy all day with moderate wind. Sweater and hat weather.

Closed on the house - have a week where the previous owner still has possession.
Made my daughter make chocolate chip cookies.

Learned my new garden has had decades of fall leafs tilled into it. Garden is roughly 16 feet wide east to west and 40 some feet north to south with a 6' tall privacy fence along the east edge.

I decided I could ride my 4 year old kid's bike off a tiny ramp jump. It was fine until the asphalt came up and punched me. Knocked the wind out of me BAD and my elbow really hurts. And I'll have to listen to my kids lecture me about wearing a helmet.
