I have lots of blooms on my small Myer Lemon Tree, but when the flowers fall off, I see what is in the picture. These look bad to me. Any clues?

I've never grown a Meyer lemon but will throw a guess out anyway. Did you ensure that the tree was pollinated? The little reading I've done points to citrus being self-fertile but the pollen still needs a carrier from the stamen to the pistil.

I haven’t done anything like that. I wonder if, in the waning parts of winter, if I should try to pollinate them. Bees are not out yet.
