Drizzling this morning here.

Took Mrs. Ranch's Jeep to the dealer to get the sensor installed. It's back to 100% again. I also did the weekly shopping on the way home.

Warmed to the low 50s today. Rain. Wind - under gal warnings and lake shore flooding warnings again.

Got a pot of pinto beans seasoned up & soaking for tomorrow.

Seasoned up a couple of pork steaks that I'll smoke for supper.

Made stuffed jalapenos.

Prepped the onion row in the garden so it's ready to be planted.

Made the pot of pinto beans.

Planted the onion sets.

Fed the cattle.

Treated the fire ant mounds with Bifen & then put strychnine laced grain in the gopher tunnels (both of these pests popped up after the recent rains).

Made another batch of Cherry/Chocolate Chip bars to go with the BlueBell cherry ice cream I bought. MMMM!!!!

Put out another roll of hay for the cattle.

Fertilized all the trees, flowerbeds & porch pots, then watered everything in.

Spent the rest of the beautiful afternoon playing Frisbee with Dieter.

Do you mean borracho beans???

1 lb of pinto beans (soaked overnight)

3 tablespoons of Fiesta Brand Pinto Bean Seasoning

1 bottle of Negra Modelo

1 large onion

6 jalapenos

1/2 lb of homemade bacon

Additional black pepper to taste

A pile of chopped cilantro (20 minutes before serving)

If you want charro beans, leave the beer out.

Received a case of 800 (3" X 3.75") peat pots. Started populating my starter flats for the spring.

Puttered in the greenhouse.

Finished the upgrade to the last computer here to Mint 19.2

Finished populating my starter flats for the spring & put them in the greenhouse. We have 10 flats (200 pots) ready for the seeds. The remaining peat pots are in the attic for safe keeping.

Put the cushions for the back porch furniture in plastic bags & put them in the attic as well.

Put up the small Christmas tree & Mrs Ranch did the decorations on the fireplace.

Cut back the ferns in the hanging baskets, watered them & then putting them back in the greenhouse. They all need to be repotted...

Made bread.

Did the weekly shopping.

Mrs. Ranch is back to shopping for Sanatis or another brand of fabric-backed vinyl coverings to go with her new color scheme....
