My dad has a small coop sitting on the ground that he's noticed a very small hole, small like maybe a small cat could fit through, at the bottom. Not sure what is getting in there but he's lost three chickens already. None of them appear to be eaten, just dead. The worst one was the chickens rear tore up, but that's it.

That said what's the best way to secure a chicken coop from the bottom to prevent whatever it is that's killing the chickens from getting in again?

Thanks!

This is what I did. You can see it's attached maybe 6" from the bottom of the coop and then goes to the ground and them lays in the yard another 6" hard to dig under or through. Screenshot_2013-11-01-11-57-13.png

Cody - I'm assuming you just steak it into the ground to stop it from rolling back onto itself?

I put bricks on it. Didn't take long for the grass to weave through it and then it was stuck really good.
