1 Cup sugar, divided
1 Cup flour
2 Teaspoons baking powder
1/2 Cup milk
1/4 Cup butter, melted
2 Cups dewberries
1 Cup water

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.

Whisk 1/2 cup sugar together with the flour & baking powder in a mixing bowl. Stir in the milk & melted butter until a batter forms. Scrape into the baking dish, then add the dewberries & sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup sugar.

Now pour the water over the top.

Bake until the batter has risen & the top is brown, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cool before serving.

Enjoy!!!
