So much for the rain. I'll water fruit trees today. Brother in Lake Jackson has had over 16 inches.

Did the grocery shopping, stopped by the slaughter house for a couple of pork loins & then picked up ranch fuel. Upon getting home, I processed the loins into 32 pork chops (1 1/4" thick) & vacuum packed them.

Fed the cattle & put out another roll of hay.

Refilled the other half of the hummingbird feeders.

Readied 3 packages will be dropped off at UPS tomorrow.

Finally getting some rain here. Lots of close lightning. Had to shut down operations early and disconnect all the machines.

Just got back from installing an automated material handling machine for a package distribution hub south of Indy. These 12 day long work weeks suck.

Made bread.

Refilled 7 of the 12 hummingbird feeders. A week ago I thought their numbers were down, but the last few days their numbers are way up.

Found the hot water heater for the main house leaking. turned off the circuit breaker & the water supply to it, but was unable to drain it. I'll call for a replacement tomorrow.

Continued cleaning the garden. It's slow going in this heat...

Overnight storms and calling for rain all day. Swinging from highs in the mid 80s to highs in the upper 60s.

There goes a bike ride with kids today but keeps me from having to mow the lawn.

Made bread.

Made pizza dough & sauce for tonight's supper.

Watered all the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Refilled 4 of the 12 hummingbird feeders.

Fed the cattle.

We got lucky & didn't need a new hot water heater, the nipple for the supply line had a small crack in it.

Made a bunch of pecan/almond/pistachio brittle this morning. I have no idea what I was thinking, it was a huge batch. This is what I get for watching Youtube videos of a family that runs a candy shop.
@wolffman I'm up for that kind of brain damage. Could you post the vid link?

I've been on a chocolate souffle kick lately based on this page / vid

Watered the porch pots & hanging baskets.

Fed the cattle.

Seasoned up a couple of pork steaks that I'll smoke for supper. I'll also throw on some chicken thighs for Dieter's treats.

Took down & cleaned 6 of the hummingbird feeders for storage as their numbers are down again (maybe 25-30 left).

I have a 7x12 utility trailer that needs the wood replaced and rewired. Anyone have experience in both to make the job done right the first time.

I’ve done it several times. The wood part is straightforward. Recommend getting wood from a place like McCoy’s vs Home Depot. For the wiring, be sure to run a dedicated ground to all lights. Do not use the trailer frame as a ground for anything.
