Refiled the salt in the water softener. I still need to replace the filter.

Harvested the last of the green beans (got enough for tonight's supper - waste not, want not).

Harvested jalapenos & stuffed them. They will also be served with tonight's supper.

Started pulling up the spent garden plants & then burned them along with the empty feed bags that have accumulated.

Cut a couple of passes along the roads & fence lines in preparation for spraying RM43.

Took the "Admiral" aka my wife, to the local Asian nursery. She had me sweating like a hog planting these fruits. Out of the four fruits, I only recognized/know the names to one. One of them is called the " Dragon Fruit" Had to put them into some VERY large barrels on wheels so that we could relocate them into the barn during winter's freezing temp. We( meaning ME/I..she likes to used the term "we") would have to do this for at least 3 seasons before planting them into the ground.

Watered the garden, asparagus, flowerbeds, porch pots, hanging baskets & all the trees.

Did the weekly shopping. I'm taking the rest of the day off, it's just too hot.

Fed cattle.

Cleaned & refilled the hummingbird feeders & then did the same to the redbird feeders.

Started the 'beginning-of-the-month' chores earlier due to the heat.

Picked up 3 more cantaloupe.

Harvested jalapenos that I stuffed. Also made soybean succotash for the other side dish. Since it's so hot, we're just having hotdogs (Texas Red-Hots) & grill onions for supper.

Been busy. Roughly everything on auto pilot now.

Bought a new Acer Chromebook 11 which I intend to switch to developer mode and run Linux on. I did Linux on an old laptop but that 11 year old machine has annoyed me now (battery life, bulk, touch pad, keyboard layout, typical first world problems). Also bought a Sams Teach Yourself C in 21 days. I plan on working through that book doing a lesson a day 6 days a week.

Picked up another load of cattle feed. My run of bad luck seems to be continuing... the right front tire blew out at 70 MPH. Thankfully the ton of feed in back acted as a counter balance to the front end. It's time for a new set of tires, so I got them ordered ($1,100+) & they'll be here tomorrow. Local place will install them Saturday morning.

We went to town to get our haircuts. Also gave 2 cantaloupe to her.

Fed the cattle.

Seasoned up a couple of pork steaks that will be smoked for supper. Mrs. Ranch made macaroni salad to go with them.
