That darn armadillo was back again... He has been tearing up the flowerbeds & garden bad. The good news is I caught him this morning & he won't be doing it anymore due to a high speed injection of lead to the head. He was pretty big, I'm guessing about 20 lbs.

Reformed the potato row & the leek area, Afterwards I re-mulched them & their pathways.

Harvested our 1st cucumber!!!

Started raining about 1700 hrs (0.72" thus far). We needed it badly... I hope it continues all night.

Boy.....you'll get lead poisoning real quick messin' with Ranch's garden !! LOL!! Nice shot Ranch! I've got one that I just can't get a shot off. I would often walk out front just to get some fresh air at night in the dark. He scare the day lights out of me trying to run away stepping on my toes !!

Did the weekly shopping early as I had to pickup a load of sand to level one of the water troughs.

The basil is finished dehydrating so I did a course grind & bottled it up. This will be used when I make spaghetti sauce next month.

Send it this way, it's just drizzling here & we could use 10-12".
Ranch I'm to your East and it looks like you are getting some.I'm getting thunder in the distance.Did my favorite thing this morning, weed eat.Ugh. I have about 1/4 acre that it is too rough for a mower.I should have done it this past Winter, but always found a reason not to.

Made bread. Also made stuffed jalapenos & Mrs. Ranch made a big bowl of her delicious potato salad.

This morning I seasoned up 2 pork steaks that will go on the smoker for supper tonight.

Took the big truck to the dealer for it's yearly maintenance & state inspection. Afterwards I did some light shopping.

Watered the trees, flowerbeds, garden & asparagus.

Water garden, asparagus bed & porch pots.

Put out 2 rolls of hay for the cattle & another seed block for the birds.

Harvested 3 more cucumbers & gave them to our mail lady for her husband.

Seasoned up 4 strip steaks & smoked them for today & tomorrow's supper. Mrs. Ranch made a pear pie for dessert.

Clean the big hummingbird feeders prior to putting them away until the fall migration. I cleaned & refilled 2 of the smaller ones for the few birds that stay here during the summer.

Cleaned & refilled the wasp traps.

Watered the hanging baskets & trimmed the ferns up.

Watered the garden & asparagus bed, it's 96 degrees here & going up

Another inch of rain yesterday. Temps in the upper 80's - 90's all weekend. Not much to do in the garden but watch it grow. Everything is mulched.

97 F and full sun here today.

Watered the garden.

Bought the parts for a swing set but will wait to assemble it until it cools down a little - tonight or tomorrow morning.

Man, them crawdads look good!

90's again here today. My new fruit trees are doing great. We didn't expect much for the first year, but it looks like we'll get a taste of each.
