I move around in the middle of the pack. Right now I'm drinking some McKenna bottled in bond that my wife brought back from Heaven Hill. I also like Kentucky Vintage small batch, not quite as smooth as the McKenna but a lot better than your standard fare. I like it better than Maker's standard, but not as well as their 46. Larceny is ok too, but a bit too much bite at the end.

How about you?

Where are you at in KY? Dad was from Glasgow. His family settled around Monticello first, way back. Yes, Scotts-Irish.

@Waite, I haven't tried MeKenna but I'll have to give that a try.

If I'm just sipping some bourbon then I'm usually having Elijah Craig 18 year old single barrel. If I'm mixing or at the bar then it's usually Makers.

I'm located in Lexington.

Go with Bushmills Irish Whiskey, Jameson will do in a pinch though.

I have a bottle of Jameson's my daughter brought back from the distillery in Ireland. It's only available there, pretty good stuff. It's one of those you only break out on a special occasion.
